A Huntington Beach school is on high alert with a high police presence after receiving a threat about a shooting.
According to District officials, someone wrote a message in the boy's bathroom at Stacey Middle School on Friday just after news broke about a gunman killing ten people and injuring 13 more at a high school in Texas. The message threatened to "shoot up" the school today, and HBPD has been investigating ever since.
Officers will remain on campus today at Stacey Middle School and backpacks will be searched before any students will be allowed on campus.
Administrators at Stacey Middle School thanked the students who alerted them to the message and repeated how important it was for them to say something if they see something.
