10 Abused Children Were Beaten and Waterboarded

Early this week we learned of the tragedy plaguing a Fairfield home. 10 children were found living in complete filth. ABC7 reports that prosecutors now believe the children were subjected to horrible abuse including being waterboarded, shot with crossbows, BBs, kicked, punched and had scalding water poured on them.

30-year-old mother, Ina Rogers, appeared in court today where she faces fewer charges than husband, Jonathan Allen. Solano County prosecutors adamantly requested an increased bail for the mother who was charged with nine counts of felony child abuse. Deputy District Attorney Veronica Juarez stated that Rogers assisted in the abuse and dissuaded the children from reporting any offenses all in an effort to protect her husband.

"Ina Rogers allowed the tortuous acts to occur for several years...the acts included hot water and biting," Solano County Chief Deputy District Attorney Sharon Henry said.

The children whose age ranges from 4 months to 12 years-old are now in the protective custody of their grandmother and aunt.

Rogers bail was set at $495,000.

"They had normal lives except for being in homeschool. They had a normal life, like I gave my everything to these children -- my everything. The police demonized me all the way down to the names I picked for my children," Allen stated.

Allen does indeed believe that he is innocent and the children are being brainwashed into thinking that they were abused. He is currently being held in jail with a bail set for $5.2 million.
