Last night was the Met Gala, the standard event for the opening of the spring exhibit at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year's theme was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination."
Which, as you could imagine, resulted in some pretty interesting fashion choices.
Some of which may have bordered on sacrilegious...

And it was just getting started.

A lot of people had fun with the head pieces.
Madonna went with a crown of crosses.
Cara Delevigne wore her interpretation of a veil.
And Rihanna went full Pope.
Katy Perry trended towards the "heavenly" part of theme, wearing a set of angel wings.
And J-Lo donned a really, really big crown.
