Man Escapes Two Days Into Four Day Sentence

One Northern California inmate apparently just couldn't wait.  Marc Schwartz broke out of a Santa Rosa jail April 27th, two days into a four-day sentence for a DUI, climbing a fence and getting over coils of razor wire.  He was recaptured not too long after, found wet and bleeding in a creek.  Now Schwartz is facing felony escape charges.

Some on social media thought Schwartz might have been going through some sort of drug withdrawal but the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office says that wasn't the case.  "No drug or mental health issues in this case," the department wrote in a statement. "He chose to solve a perceived problem in the absolute worst way."
