Waffle House Shooting Suspect's Bond Revoked

Judge revoked Travis Reinking's bond

A judge in Nashville issued an order Tuesday morning revoking the $2 million bond for Travis Reinking, the suspect in the deadly mass shooting at an Antioch Waffle House on Sunday.

Reinking is accused of killing four people and injuring several others in a  Sunday morning attack that drew national headlines. Reinking was arrested on Monday and originally put in jail on a $2 million bond.

The fact Reinking was granted a bond in the first place was criticized by community members, celebrities and victims advocates. The shooting suspect is expected to appear in court on Wednesday for a bond hearing where attorneys and prosecutors will be able to debate the issue.

Nashville Mayor David Briley announced the judge's decision in a tweet Tuesday morning.

Judge Mondelli has issued an order revoking the bond of murder suspect Travis Reinking.

Reinking was arrested on Monday in a wooded area near the scene of the shooting. The manhunt for the Waffle House suspect lasted for 34 hours and involved hundreds of law enforcement officers. Reinking has been charged with the deaths of Taurean C. Sanderlin, 29, Joe R. Perez, 20, DeEbony Groves, 21, and Akilah Dasilva, 23.
