49ers Star Reuben Foster Charged With Felony Domestic Violence

San Francisco 49er Reuben Foster is being charged with felony domestic violence.  According to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office, the 24-year-old linebacker allegedly attacked his live-in girlfriend in their Los Gatos home in February, which left her bruised and with a ruptured eardrum.

Court documents show that she managed to flee the residence and flag down a passing car to call 9-1-1 to report that Foster dragged her by her hair, physically threw her out of the house, and punched her in the head eight to ten times.  Foster is due to appear in court for his arraignment at 1:30 this afternoon.

The charges also include inflicting great bodily injury, forcefully attempting to prevent a victim from reporting a crime, and possession of an illegal assault weapon.  Police say they located a Sig Sauer 516 and a large capacity magazine during a search of the home.  The charges could lead to discipline from the NFL.

So far, the 49ers organization has not commented.
