Silver Lake Reservoir Turning Green

It ain't easy being green! The bright blue water at the Silver Lake Reservoir has turned green. Silver Lake residents have noticed color change over time and are worried about their safety.

DWP have suggested the color change is due to the algae. The water is constantly being tested and there should be no safety concern. In a statement from the DWP “Natural lakes and raw water reservoirs can typically change color, such as green to green blue in the spring and summer months”.

I guess green is the new blue.
