LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $3.578, its highest amount since Aug. 29, 2015.
The average price has risen 32 of the past 33 days, increasing 15.6 cents, including one-tenth of a cent on Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price rose 28 consecutive days, was unchanged Tuesday and resumed increasing Wednesday.
The average price is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 15.2 cents higher than one month ago and 55.2 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 42.8 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price rose for the fourth consecutive day, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.541, its highest amount since Aug. 27, 2015. The average price has risen 1.3 cents over the past four days, including three-tenths of a cent on Friday.
The Orange County average price is 1.3 cents more than one week ago, 15.2 cents higher than one month ago and 52.8 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 42.5 cents since the start of the year.
