Southland Gas Prices Continue to Climb

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent today to $3.576, its highest amount since Aug. 29, 2015.

The average price has increased 30 of the past 31 days, increasing 15.4 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price rose 28 consecutive days, was unchanged Tuesday and resumed increasing Wednesday.

The average price is 1.4 cents more than one week ago, 15.4 cents higher than one month ago and 55.6 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 42.6 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $3.535, its highest amount since Aug. 28, 2015.

The Orange County average price is 1.4 cents more than one week ago, 15.3 cents higher than one month ago and 52.6 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 41.9 cents since the start of the year.
