The LAPD needs your help in identifying a robbery suspect they've dubbed the 'shaggy bandit.'
The man entered a Game Stop store in the Platt Village Shopping Center in West Hills at about 5pm on March 25th.
Surveillance video shows him browsing through the store for about 15 minutes, picking up several games and accessories, then going to the desk. The clerk rings up the items, then the man pulls a gun from his waistband, points it at the clerk and demands cash.
The clerk complies and the suspect calmly leaves the store with video games and $1,000 in cash.
Apparently, the suspect did everything quietly. Another clerk helping a man and his child at the next register, didn't know anything was going on.
The video shows the suspect loading his cache into a silver 2005 or 2006 Kia hatchback with no license plates.
The suspect is described as "White or Middle Eastern, tall, with a slender build." Detectives dubbed him the 'shaggy bandit' because of his beard and mustache.
Detectives also say this could be the same man who robbed a nearby Encino post office in February. There is a $50,000 reward in that case.
