All the riverbed homeless are out of the motels. Some have moved on to shelters or made other arrangements, but many went from the riverbed to the Santa Ana Civic Center plaza.
Judge David O. Carter held a court session last Friday and plans were made to start clearing the riverbed people out from the Civic Center. Judge Carter has been overseeing the civil rights aspect of the homeless since more than 700 people were removed from the riverbed. However, Judge Carter maintains that he has no sympathy for the homeless who reject help because they prefer to use drugs and commit crimes.
