The neighborhoods around LAX will be a little noisier next week. Over-ocean operations will be suspended on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday overnights due to the closure of both south complex runways. That means the jets that normally take off and land over water will be flying over L.A. communities during the closures. The FAA announced today that the shutdowns will be in effect from midnight to 6:30 a.m. on those nights.
