13,000 Year Old Footprints Found Off Canadian Coast

Earliest Known Human Footprints in North America Found

Some footprints have been discovered and they are old, 13,000 years old to be exact.

The prints were found on the shoreline of an island north of Vancouver, and scientists say they are the oldest ever found in North America.

There appear to be 29 in all and are thought to be made by two barefoot adults and a child.

According to LiveScience, archaeologists were amazed at how well-preserved the footprints were in the wet clay near the water’s edge on Calvert Island.
