Two men are joining the Los Angeles Rams spirit squad for the first time in NFL history. Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies battled it out against 76 finalists for 3 weeks in an intensive audition for the final two spots.
"I thought, 'Why not me? Why can't I do this?' said Quinton Peron in an interview on ABC's Good Morning America.
Although NFL teams have included men alongside their cheerleaders assisting with stunts, Peron and Jinnies will be the first to perform the same routine as the women, reports USA Today.
"This one was about three weeks long and we had a bunch of rehearsals in between and an extensive interview process, but it was really humbling and amazing to be invited every time you came back."
