Senators John Kennedy, a Republican, and Catherine Cortez Masto, a Democrat, are tired of hearing stories regarding passengers pets being put in danger on aircraft. The two senators unveiled legislation that would explicitly bar airlines from putting animals in danger by placing them in overhead baggage compartments.

Earlier this week, United Airlines came under fire after a United Airlines flight attendant ordered that a passengers puppy be stowed in an overhead bin. The airline has apologized and taken full responsibility.

Still, people are........not happy.

Customers of United also had another reason to be upset.....

Senators Kennedy and Masto have titled their bill, the Welfare of Our Furry Friends Act, or the “WOOFF” act.
