Cops respond to a complaint of a smelly Iowa home and find the floors covered in over six inches of cat poo.
Officers were called to a home in the 800 block of E. Morton Avenue to investigate a strong ammonia scent. Animal control says the source of the smell was obviously animal waste.
Inside the home, officials found both dead and living cats.
Officials say the floor was covered to the point where they couldn't walk through the home.
At least 20 cats have been taken from the home. Animal control officers say more cats are hiding in air vents and behind appliances in the home.
Police say felony charges are likely for the homeowner.
