23 Year Old Husband Dead By Flying Boulder

Authorities in Pasadena are asking for assistance in locating a man who tossed a boulder from a freeway overpass. On Tuesday night, the 30 to 35 pound boulder traveled through a couples window striking the husband who was seated in the right passenger seat. The husband was 23 years old with his pregnant wife driving the car. In the backseat their daughter and the wife's mother was seated.

Authorities are certain that there is no way the boulder could have potentially rolled off into the oncoming traffic. In the area, the 134 freeway is lined with a high gate preventing any accidents from pedestrians via the walkway.

"This was an intentional act," said CHP Lt. Chuck Geletko at an afternoon press conference. "Even though the person or persons who threw the boulder may not have known who was inside the vehicle at the time, any prudent person would know that a boulder that size would seriously harm someone driving on the freeway below."

Police are trying to find witnesses and surveillance video of the freeway overpass.
