On Wednesday, a new measure was approved that will crack down on violators hosting house parties. The ordinance specifically is geared towards homes in the Hollywood Hills and neighboring hillside residences.
With growing popularity, these homes have become convenient locations to rent out as semi-commercial venues for house parties. Many party host will hire security, bartenders, and valet for the event. Guest attendance can reach into the thousands.
The measure seeks to fine event host as well as the homeowners. Neighborhood councils have grown tired of the loud noises and jammed street parking and are in support of the measure.
