Supplies For Wall Demonstration Cost $50,000

The City of San Diego is out $50,000 for a border wall protest that never happened.  City records show that San Diego went out and bought grenades that spew rubber balls, pepper-spray and dozens of pizzas from Costco to prepare for what was going to be a major protest near President Trump's border wall prototypes.

The city purchased the tactical gear and food just as the prototypes were being built in September, but no protesters showed up.  The San Diego "Union Tribune" says the city spent nearly $900,000 in January on security around the prototypes including $200,000 in overtime.
