Car Stolen From Turpin Home

A man is behind bars for allegedly stealing a car from the Perris home of a couple accused of torturing their 13-kids.  The "Press Enterprise" reports that the suspect was arrested in Riverside and has prior convictions of grand theft and burglary.  Deputies were called to the home of David and Louise Turpin this week after neighbors noticed the front door was open.

Authorities say two cars were taken and a van parked in the driveway had four flat tires.  The residence has been vacant ever since the Turpins were arrested and their kids were rescued from the so-called "house of horrors" last month.  The couple has pleaded not guilty to a total of 75-counts of torture, false imprisonment and child abuse.
