LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.447 today, the fifth consecutive decrease after a 20-day streak of increases totaling 21.2 cents.
The average price is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 19.7 cents higher than one month ago and 48.8 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 29.7 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price dropped for the fourth straight day, decreasing a half-cent to $3.412.
The Orange County average price is 1.4 cents less than one week ago, 19.9 cents higher than one month ago and 44.7 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 29.6 cents since the start of the year.
