Long Beach considers bicycle ‘chop shop’crackdown

      One of the biggest selling items in Long Beach at the moment are t-shirts that say "My bike was stolen in Long Beach."  It really isn't a laughing matter for the hundreds that have had their (sometimes only) mode of transportation stolen.  Long Beach Councilwoman Suzie Price is calling upon the police to crack down on bicycle "chop shops," usually found around homeless encampments in the LA river area.  These repurposed bikes are used as currency for drugs
