Local school district cancels Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances

Today we talked to a woman from Calabasas who wrote to us about her daughters' school canceling Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances after a complaint from ONE mom about the "gender inequalities" the dances create.

Kim told us that last year the names of the dances were changed to "Me and My VIP," but they were still understood to be Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances. This year Kim says the dances were done away with entirely, and that the entire Las Virgenes School District will get ride of all gender specific events.

The Superintendent told parents that they can put together a dance and pay for it on their own, but it can't be on school grounds. Parents could also add a dance to the upcoming school auction and the school would get the money as a donation.

As long as the school gets money it's okay, but if it's on any other terms the dances are offensive? What's going on? When will this PC madness end?!
