Sometimes you go on vacation and pick up trinkets, sometimes you pick up hookworm. Yikes!
That's exactly what happened to Canadian couple, Katie Stephens and Eddie Zytner, on their trip to the Dominican Republic.
At first, the couple believed they'd just had a few bug bites on their feet. However, after a few days back home, their feet became more itchy and inflamed! It took Canadian doctors three days to diagnose the case, yet the problem wasn't severe enough to provide medication for.
The couple eventually had to go to the U.S for medical assistance.
