Reports are trickling in of a helicopter that has crashed into a home in Newport Beach near John Wayne Airport in Orange County. NBC LA reports at least three people have died as a result of the crash.
Two other people were injured during the crash the Newport Beach Fire Department said.
The Robinson 44 helicopter went down around 1:45 Tuesday afternoon about 1 mile southeast of the airport. Newport Beach Fire and the Orange County Fire Authority are on scene to investigate and assist.
