Last week during Jerry Brown's final State of the State address, Hasan Ikhrata, Executive Director of the Southern California Association of Governments, and California State Transportation leader Brian Annis sat down to sing the praises of the gas and car tax.
If you recall, Hasan Ikhrata is a former Soviet planner and is all about taxes and the government controlling your life. He doesn't think you can be trusted to make good decisions for yourself.

In the video above, both Ikhrata and Annis claim the gas tax is necessary and repealing it would have dire consequences for the state. Here's what Ikhrata thinks:
"SB1 funds must be there. We cannot be a selfish generation and keep the cost of repairing infrastructure for future generations. For the sake of our kids and our grandkids, we need to do it now keep SB1 funding."
