An illegal immigrant is accused of using Uber as a way to sexually assault women. Prosecutors say Alfonso Alarcon-Nunez left the country voluntarily in 2005, but recently reentered the U.S. illegally and made his way up the California coast to San Luis Obispo.
They say he manged to get a job with Uber and drove drunk women home where he would take advantage of them and steal property before leaving. Nunez was arrested last week and police believe there are more victims. Officials say his immigration status will not have a bearing on the case, but he could face life in prison if found guilty on all charges.
