Unlike many industries, airline pilots, crew and flight attendants put a lot of miles on their uniforms. That's why Alaska Airlines teamed up with Seattle fashion designer Luly Yang to design a new series of uniforms for its crew.
At a fashion show inside Alaska's Sea-Tac hanger, employee models walked the runway, showing off Yang's new modern West Coast-inspired designs to thousands of employees. The design, which Yang has been working on for more than two years, will become the new look for more than 19,000 Alaska, Virgin America, and Horizon Air uniformed employees starting in late 2019.
