Robotic Strippers Have Been Unveiled at CES

They say robots will take over our jobs, but c'mon...even stripping???

During this year's Consumer Electronics Show, a few futuristic exotic dancers have hit the stage.

The Daily Mail reports:

“The android adult entertainers are the creation of a British artist who says they are a comment on the nature of surveillance, power and voyeurism. … These strippers are powered with recovered windshield wiper motors and are programmed to move with the artist’s sense of feminine style.”

If that wasn't weird enough, Sapphire Las Vegas strip club Managing Partner Peter Feinstein says this entire thing is a way to attract more women to the clubs.

“We were looking for something creative to do during CES that would sort of match what was happening in town.

We’re offering a different place to go. If you’re six people from a company and there’s two women and four guys, you can still here and have some fun and see the robots and not feel like you have to be part of a strip club.”

Regardless of the targeted audience, the Daily Mail says the robo-girls aren't coming to a pole near you.

“While they may grind and gyrate around a pole with moves like a real stripper, these robotic dancers are unlikely to replace human performers anytime soon."
