(Ventura, CA) -- A flash flood warning is in effect for areas burned by the massive Thomas Fire. The National Weather Service issued the alert early this morning and it will remain in place until 9:30 a.m. The affected areas include northwestern Ventura County and central Santa Barbara County.
Mandatory evacuations are already in place for parts of Ojai, Montecito, Summerland and Carpinteria. The warning means that flash flooding is about to happen or is already happening, due to the heavy rainstorm.
