People flooded the Disney California Adventure park over the weekend to say goodbye to some of the more iconic attractions that will be closing their doors forever.
The Paradise Pier section of the park was originally designed to look like a classic amusement pier from the 1920s and included the California Screamin’ roller coaster and Mickey’s Fun Wheel Ferris wheel.
The area will reopen sometime in June and will be divided into "three distinct neighborhoods based on Pixar movies."
As of January 8th, the below attractions will be changed and reopened with Pixar themes...
- California Screamin’
- Mickey’s Fun Wheel
- Games of the Boardwalk
- Sideshow Shirts
- Ariel’s Grotto
- Cove Bar
- Treasures in Paradise (merchandise shop)
- Paradise Pier Ice Cream Co.
...and these are still open for business as is...
- Silly Symphony Swings
- Jumping Jellyfish
- Goofy’s Sky Schoool
- Golden Zephyr
- Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
- King Triton Carousel
- Toy Story Midway Mania!
