Report: San Diego Spent Thousands To Protect Border Wall Prototypes

The city of San Diego has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to protect the border wall prototypes in nearby Otay Mesa, California.  City officials tell KNSD-TV that the San Diego Police Department paid $278,000 dollars in overtime and other expenses for officers to patrol the area where the prototypes were set up.

City officials say it's unlikely the department can be paid back for those costs.  The prototypes for President Trump's proposed border wall went up in the area in September of last year.
