Don Henley Donation Helps Group Preserve Land

Eagles frontman Don Henley is helping preserve some wildlife habitat in the Los Angeles area.  Preservation groups yesterday announced they had purchased 17-acres of land in the Laurel Canyon area.  The plan is to turn the property over to a conservation authority to provide open space.

Henley made a $100,000 dollar donation toward the land purchase in memory of his late Eagles bandmate and fellow former Laurel Canyon resident Glenn Frey.  Henley says it's important to preserve sections of undeveloped land in the name of history.
