Fire Crews Battling Wildfire On Christmas

(Ventura, CA)  --  Thousands of firefighters are battling the largest wildfire in California's history this Christmas.  About 15,000 firefighters are still on the fire-line, trying to protect homes while the flames continue to rage.

On Christmas Eve fire crews were treated to somewhat of a home cooked meal prepared by volunteers, but most of the men and women say they miss being with the families.  The Thomas Fire in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties has now eaten through 282,000 acres and is 86-percent contained, with full containment expected in early January.
