Police Fine Man for his Christmas Light-Covered Car

A South Carolina man's annual tradition of tying Christmas lights around his car has now cost him some coin.

Brandon Wooden has had his tradition for five years and people in the town love it too.

"People usually follow me for a few miles, videotape me, Snapchat, stop me and tell me to pull over on the side of the road to take a picture."

However, the local police weren't too fond of the car and fined him $232 for "improper lighting".

The Christmas spirit wasn't totally turned off though, within days Wooden received $300 to pay the fine thanks to a GoFundMe set up by friends.

"I love doing it for the people. For them, not for me, for them. And my son, of course, he loves it."
