One of the people behind those Meryl Streep "She Knew" posters has revealed himself as Sabo, a right-leaning street artist who has done similar works in the past.
Sabo told The Guardian that the posters are meant to be revenge against Streep's criticism of Donald Trump, all while she keeps her mouth shut on Harvey Weinstein.
Sabo said:
“She’s swiping at us so we’re swiping back."
There's no way she couldn't have known what creepy Harvey was up to. Sabo added:
“I wasn’t sitting in a room with her. I can’t say 100%. But I’d say anyone in the [film] industry had a pretty good idea. I think she knew. Maybe she was providing Weinstein with the fresh meat.”
Sabo joined us this afternoon to talk more about his work, and explained how "She Knew" came to be:
