San Diego Monument Set To Raise Fees

Visiting the Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma is going to get more expensive next year.  The National Park Service has announced it will raise the entrance fee from ten dollars to 15 dollars for cars and from five to seven dollars for pedestrians and cyclists.

Motorcycles will also be charged a few dollars more and the cost of an annual Cabrillo Park Pass will go up from 20 to 30 bucks.  Eighty-percent of the funds are supposed to stay at Cabrillo and help pay for preservation of natural resources, facility improvements and educational programs.
