Some California homeowners will be impacted if the GOP tax bill passes. A study by Irvine-based Attom Data Solutions shows that the mortgage interest deduction would be lowered for one in nine Golden State homebuyers. One in 15 would be met with a lower property tax deduction.
High-cost counties like Los Angeles and Orange would be more impacted than places like the Inland Empire, where houses cost less than the state median. The House and Senate could both vote today on the bill and is expected to pass.
