Los Angeles artist and celebrity candy stylist Jackie Sorkin has created a candy lovers paradise with her new interactive art exhibit Candytopia!
Sorkin is known for her TLC show "Candy Queen" where she has worked as a candy stylist to the stars.
In her Candytopia exhibit, Sorkin has partnered with events and design expert Zac Hartog and retail veteran John Goodman to create different candy environments that are meant to felt with all your senses.
“I wanted this place to be sensory overload.
I want people to come in here and feel it, be emotional. I want them to be happy and crazy. I want every sense to be in overdrive. I’m kind of known for being this happy and crazy person with a lot of energy and I wanted to really infuse that heart and soul into this.”
“If you’re coming here and you’re an adult, I want you to feel like a kid and if you’re a kid, I want you to open up your imagination and go ‘This crazy lady created a whole world and business out of candy.
One of my biggest inspirations is Walt Disney and the whole magic of Disney and what they represent to the world. They speak to everyone and that’s what I want to do. I think we’re speaking to everyone through candy.”
