A fire captain and his girlfriend are trying to find their dog lost in the chaos of the Creek Fire.
Cristina Lorenzo says their 3-year-old French bulldog Taco ran off during the evacuations as her boyfriend Joel Gonzalez fought the fire.
“We haven’t had any leads from anybody. I’ve been asking anyone who can help to look out for him.
We’re thinking he got scared and probably panicked. I hope that in some of the panic that somebody picked him up.”
Lorenzo says Taco is like the mascot at Gonzalez's station with the Little Tujunga Hot Shots.
She says she has called several shelters but no one is available to answer the phone or they haven't found a go matching Taco's description.
Anyone who sees Taco is asked to call 818-302-9944.
