Firefighters in San Bernardino are battling a 25-acre brush fire near the 215 Freeway. County fire crews are working to extinguish the blaze despite the fierce Santa Ana Winds that are causing a rapid rate of spread.
Authorities tweeted that structures are threatened and have requested the closure of the 215 Freeway at University Parkway. Evacuations have also been requested in the Riverside neighborhood north of the Shandin Hills Golf Course.
Three people are reportedly being treated for burns.
