Parking at LAX Will Get Harder Over The Next 4 Months

Los Angeles Exteriors And Landmarks - 2017

Heads up travelers, if you're looking to fly out of Los Angeles International Airport over the next few months, parking in long term may be a lot harder than you're used to.

That's thanks to the removal of 2,110 parking spaces at economy Lot C to help enable construction work. The work is scheduled to be completed in two phases over the course of four months.

The first phase will immediately remove 1,230 spaces, mostly in the northeastern portion of the lot. The construction will also close the northern entrance to the popular parking lot located off Westchester Parkway.

"Vehicles that remain in the construction area after  it closes will be moved elsewhere within Lot C," Los Angeles World Airways, the L.A. city agency that operates LAX, said.  "Attendants will be available at Lot C to advise motorists of the new location  of their vehicles.''

The second phase begins Dec. 8th and that's when the rest of the parking spaces will be removed, which of course, is just in time for holiday travel.

The closure leaves about 2,200 spaces available for the thousands of travelers that fly in and out of LAX every day.
