Roy Moore first noticed his wife when she was 15

Embattled judge Roy Moore first spotted his future wife when she was just a teenager at a sock hop.

The senatorial candidate from Alabama, who has been accused of preying on young teens in the 1970s, married his now-wife Kayla when he was 38 and she was 24.

Roy Moore bragged about his first time seeing his 15 year-old future wife in an interview with Paul Patterson:

In his memoir, So Help Me God: The Ten Commandments, Judicial Tyranny, and the Battle for Religious Freedom, Moore explains:

"It was something I had never forgotten."

The star-crossed lovers (ie Roy Moore) would have to wait a further 8 years before fate brought the two together again.  They were "reunited" at a Christmas party when she was 23, and Moore was 37.

The elder of the two would regale his romantic tale to Patterson:

"It was eight years later or something when I met her and when she told me her name I remembered...and I said haven't I met you before?

"Of course, she was younger and she said I don't think so and brushed it off. And then I told her and identified it was the dance."
