California Highway Patrol officers are looking for a man they say posed as a law enforcement official in order to sexually assault a woman in Lakewood.
Authorities say the alledged assault happened on the eastbound 105 Freeway, just west of Lakewood Blvd on Nov. 7th.
The suspect presented himself as a law enforcement official, signaling a woman to stop her vehicle. He got the woman to exit her vehicle where officials say he searched the woman, touching her inappropriately.
He's described as a man in his 30s, between 5'9"and 5'10" tall, weighing between 180 and 200 lbs with a medium build. The suspect was wearing a dark-colored, long-sleeved uniform style shirt with tan pants.
His shirt had shoulder patches, a silver star type of badge and silver nametag. The suspect was also wearing a utility belt, similar to the ones police wear with a gun and Taser.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a black four-door sedan, possibly a Ford Crown Victoria. Mounted inside were red and blue emergency lights, and a spotlight was installed on the left side of the vehicle. The front and rear windows of the sedan were also tinted according to the description released by CHP.
Anyone with more information was urged to call the CHP at (323) 982-4900, attention investigator DaSilva case #2017-04333-550.
