#TechTalk Helps You Pick Out Your New Computer

With the holidays coming up quick, it is time to get going on your gift shopping.

Now, if one of the gifts you need to purchase is a computer, we are well aware that it can be very overwhelming and very confusing.

Lucky for you, @Marc_Saltzman is here for #TechTalk, and he knows all about picking out computers and tips for safe online shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

It all comes down to 3 basic questions.

1) What is it going to be used for?

First, understand the kind of workload it will be asked to perform.  That can dictate the specifications you should look for.

Also, make sure that the computer you are buying can handle the kind of work it will need to perform.

When it comes down to it, it is better to overshoot with capability than undershoot.

2) What operating system should I pick?

If you love or hate a certain OS, follow that.  You don't want to be stuck with an OS that you can't stand.

Plus, know that certain operating systems are unable to perform certain tasks, or may perform them differently.  So, if you (or the person that will be using the computer) is used to doing a certain type of work with a certain OS, stick with it.

3) What form of computer should you pick?

Desktop?  Laptop?  2-in-1?

Again, know what you are going to use it for, as that could heavily influence which you pick.

Also, note your budget and take that into consideration.
