Grape Scott! Thief in Glendale Steals Wine by Stuffing Bottles in Pants

Police officials turned to the public in hopes of identifying a man who stole bottles of high-end wine from two different stores in Glendale on Tuesday night.

The incidents occurred on October 12th at Mission Wine & Spirits on S. Glendale Ave. and at Mission Liquor on W. Glenoaks Blvd., according to Tahnee Lightfoot of the Glendale Police Department.

“In both cases, the suspect entered the wine section and concealed high-dollar bottles of wine down the front of his pants before leaving the store,” Lightfoot said.

The suspect was last seen driving a white 2011-2014 Volkswagen Jetta with black paper plates.

Police described the suspect as white or Hispanic, 25-35 years old, with a beard.
