Leah and Bea Koch have opened the only exclusively romance bookstore in the United States and only for about $91,000 on Kickstarter!
The Chicago born sisters realized there was a massive gap in the book industry and coupled with their love of romance they decided to work together and opened The Ripped Bodice.
The Ripped Bodice features a vast and diverse selection of romance fiction. In addition to books, the store has a wide selection of gift items with a focus on supporting independent, female owned businesses.
The sisters joined us to talk about what makes a romance novel, how they got into the business and what is it they know about the industry that big box bookstores don't.
