LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A ``suspicious'' item was found today in a trash can at the Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport, resulting in the brief evacuation of the ticketing and screening area.
The item was discovered about noon, and a bomb squad was sent to the scene.
Because of the investigation, vehicle traffic was diverted from the upper to the lower level in the Central Terminal Area, according to Los Angeles Airport police.
The area was declared safe about 12:35 p.m., and the evacuation order was lifted.
