LASD Seeks Public's Help in Locating Missing Juvenile

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Authorities today sought the public's help to find a 17-year-old boy who suffers from seizures and who went missing from the Junior Blind of America campus in southwest Los Angeles.

Richard Burgos was last seen about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the campus in the 5300 block of Angeles Vista Boulevard, the sheriff's department reported.

Burgos is Hispanic, 5 feet 9, 225 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing black shorts and a white T-shirt.

Burgos was hospitalized for multiple seizures on Wednesday and released the same day to Junior Blind of America Los Angeles Campus personnel, the sheriff's department reported.

``Upon returning to the campus, Richard left the location and was last seen eastbound on Angeles Vista,'' a sheriff's statement said.

Burgos has a history of seizures and needs medication twice a day. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was urged to call Detective Ashley Turner at (310) 482-6022 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
