NorCal Crowns New Biggest Pumpkin

The latest winner of the Northern California 44th World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off is the heaviest in recorded history.

The OC Register says the winning pumpkin had to be placed on the scale via forklift and weighed in at  2,363 pounds!

The grower Joel Holland has now won the contest for the seventh time, winning the prize if $7 per pound- $16,541 total.

Last year's winner Cindy Tobeck won the competition last year with a pumpkin that was 1,910 pounds...2,002 pounds short of Holland’s entry.
